Plants And Animals Cells
Label a plant and animal cell.
Plants and animals cells. But few organelles are unique to the plant cell as well as the animal cell. Allows materials in and out. The secondå° major difference between plant and animal cells is the cell.
Even though plant and animal cells are eukaryotic and share a few cell organelles plant cells are quite distinct when compared to animal cells as they perform different functions. Plant and animal cells share a lot of common traits but they also have their differences. The cells are composed of many or one cells that perform their individual functions.
Animal cells have slight differences to the eukaryotic cells of plants and fungi. Animal cells on the other hand have multiple smaller vacuoles. Some of the major organelles include the nucleus mitochondria lysosomes the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus.
Plant cells have three extra components a vacuole chloroplast and a cell wall. Animal cells do not have a cell wall. Both Respire All cells need energy to grow and function and animal and plant cells both obtain this energy from cellular respiration.
What is remarkable is that despite their differences in appearance plant and animal life are made up of cells that are the same in most respects. Cells are membrane-bound groups of organelles that work together to allow it to function. Plant cells are generally larger than animal cells as animal cells can be around 10-30 micrometers while plant cells can range from 10-100 micrometers.
Cytoplasm Jelly-like fluid that surrounds and protects the organelles. Both plant and animal cells comprise membrane-bound organelles such as endoplasmic reticulum mitochondria the nucleus Golgi apparatus peroxisomes lysosomes. Some of the cell organelles are present in both the plant and animal cell which help them to do the basic cellular activities.
